Welcome to NatVEND Australia website
NatVEND at the forefront of Cashless Vending and Smart Cards
Did you know that vending purchases can be made without cash?
Smartcard technology is now available!

There are 3 types of cashless vending:

1. Online systems
2. Stored value systems

3. Credit card systems

Consumer surveys have shown that cashless payment options increase the number of purchase transactions by an average of 15% while the average revenue per sale can increase by 20-50% over prior same machine transactions due to the ease of multiple product purchasing.
The end result is that
there is more revenue generated and the consumer benefits from the selection.

NatVEND works in conjuction with remote vending technology experts to provide cashless solutions to hospitals, large offices, prison & detention systems and other organisations.

How could Cashless Vending work for you ?

The savvy cashless solution is very easy to use, it offers employers transactions management and security combined with simple off line smartcard electronic payment facility (ePurse). In essence a cashless solution operates as follows:

Step One

The employee selects the followings:

  • The value of fixed monthly funds to be transferred to their allowance account i.e. $50.
  • The maximum amount that can be held at any given time by their smartcard internal ePurse i.e. $20
The information is administered with the employee details and a smartcard ePurse is programmed and given to the employee.

Step Two

To physically transfer money from their allowance account into their smartcard ePurse (i.e. top-up), the employee must present their card to an online top-up terminal. This terminal checks with the software that the card is not lost/stolen (and may request the employee to enter a PIN). The terminal will tehn top-up the smartcard ePurse to the maximum amount specified by the employee.

The top-up transaction is recorded by the digital terminal and this information is sent to the software to be recorded against the employee details.

Step Three

The employee uses the smartcard ePurse to purchase a drink or snack from a vending machine. Every time the card is used, a transaction record is generated which is stored on the terminal non-reset-able memory buffer.

Step Four

When the hardware establishes a connection with the software, the transaction records are loaded from the memory buffer into the database.

The employer uses the management software to generate reports from the database. For example:

  • the time, date and ePurse value when the employee top-up their card to their maximum specified value
  • the total value of ePurse used by each employee including the card current value
  • individual transactions by each employee from all field hardware
  • the current ePurse value the employee has in their allowance account
  • the total amount of ePurse used as payment with each service providers
  • individual transactions for each service provider (without the employees personal details)
